Marquis Advisory offers a specialized “turnkey” service to our non-U.S. private clients who wish to obtain U.S. FB-5 visa, enabling them and their families to reside permanently in the U.S. with full “Green Card” status. This includes the right of their children to attend U.S. colleges the same as a US citizen, benefiting from the lower citizen tuition charges of State institutions.
This immigrant investor visa (FB-5) requires:
- Establishing a U.S. business with a minimum investment of U.S.$1 million.
- Creation of 10 U.S. full time jobs in the business (not including spouses or children).

Types of Investments
- A real estate business (Buy and improve U.S. commercial, industrial or residential real estate in an area). U.S. debt finance to “leverage” the investment is available for these kind of projects. Wineries are also eligible.
- A U.S. distribution business (could include distribution of the products you already sell abroad)
- A U.S. manufacturing business (including assembly of your foreign made components into a final product for the U.S. market.)
- A U.S. services business (could be related to or a part of your foreign business).
FAQs
Q: Do I have to work in the U.S.?
A: no, you can even be retired or studying in the U.S., as long as you have created the eligible U.S. business with 10 full time employees.
Q: How many family members are included?
A: you, your spouse and children(all of whom are under 21 years of age and unmarried at the time of the application).
Q: How long does it take to get the Green Card?
A: Usually 6 months, but you don’t have to complete the U.S. investment before you are approved. After two years in the U.S. you can apply to make the Green card permanent.
Q: Is there a US$500,000 Program also?
A: Yes, but then the investment must be more in a US high unemployment area (more than 150% of the national average). We do not advise making investments just to qualify. The U.S. business should be a profitable and sensible one. Marquis’ expertise is available to help make this happen by assisting you create a strong, viable business.
